Congratulations on your wedsite! We are honored to be a part of your special day. Thank you for choosing wedsite.com to share your wedding plans and experiences with your friends and family.
You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore.
You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days.
Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.
But let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.
Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.
Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow.
Our small, cozy Wedding Celebration happened at nearby Milestones in thier private upper lounge.
The food was outstanding - simply appetizers and deserts. We shared champagne and spoke of thank yous and beautiful toasts.
Many loving words were shared along the evening as was much laughter. We felt very blessed that everything miraculoursly fell into place. We now sat relaxing - joyfully married - with our amazing companions.
After saying our good-nights, off we went to our fantastic wedding suite... a very generous and unexpected gift from our Erickson Colleagues. (thank you!!)... and we had one exquisite night of marital bliss together!
Guido's departure the next morning meant 8 months of living apart, however it didn't change at all the sacred space together we now shared, even if we weren't physcially able to reach out to each other.
"Where there is great love there are always miracles."
We declared our vows and joined in marriage in an intimate ceremony in Vancouver at 6 pm Tuesday evening, October 5, 2010.
While still a bit of uncertain and rush to day, with the loving help and support of Michelle, we managed to bring together all that was necessary to create an easy, intimate and casual ceremony. Somehow all the peices fell together and we made it happen.
Our marriage commissioner was a beautiful woman by the name of Lynn Katey who performed the ceremony for us. Thanks goes to Michelle's intuitive recommendation to choose Lynn. Lynn shared her natural light and positive energy with us. Her words throughout the ceremony were thoughtful and touching.
Beautifully woven into the ceremony were our request for certain readings and the service touch on so much that is relevant to us in our commitment together. It was joyful and touching, and we felt the meaning and fit of every word as we stood together becoming husband and wife.
With us were our very dear friends:
Michelle Veinot - Our Maid of Honour (Best Woman)
Richard Hyams - Our Best Man
Serjay Burlak (responsible for the amazing images and videos)
So it was... Richard with rings in hand (thanks to Paulo's unbelievable coordinating to have the rings ready at the close of the workday), Serjay with camera ready, Michelle attending to..well just about everything, and Doug's full presence with us... we were married.
Sadly, our only regret is that many of our friends and all of our families were not able be there to share the evening with us. The timing made it impossible - including for many of our Vancouver friends. Of course for our LA guest, and as well Heather's dearsest friends from Halifax who planned to travel cross country to be part of our special day, we missed all of you being there, and naturally the same for each of our families.

and plenty of Italian-style Wedding Cake - Diplomatica.
No worthwhile task can be accomplished alone (quote). We want to express our deep gratitude and thanks to a few key individuals who offered thier loving and unconditional support in helping us make this evening happen, and a memorable success.

... an experience of ease and excitement all at once
Well... it was really as if we were already wed - in that moment and every moment after. Nothing else seemed possible than to spend our lives together. With no ring (yet!) and a return plane ticket to Los Angeles, we had begun our journey together.
Well, it's been quite a journey for us so far. There has been no shortage of unexpected twists and turns, however our commitment to a future together has kept us clearly on our desired path. We've met the many adjustments along the way with a great deal of inner resilience, all the while keeping our focus on the beautiful life we are creating together.
We are very thankful for the patience and understanding some of you have generously shared as schedules needed to be changed and plane tickets exchanged. And, we will be ever grateful for the support and love we've experienced as we've moved through these past months.
Welcome everyone to our wedsite! We created this space as a special way for friends and family to participate and celebrate with us - anytime, from anywhere. We hope you enjoy browsing these pages for photos and stories about us and our future plans.
While you are here, please sign our guestbook!
For those of you who were able to be with us in these special moments, we thank you for your generous presence. For those who couldn't be, we thank you for your generous spirits.
Please do enjoy the photos and videos we've posted here. As the wedding ceremony is truly an exquisite moment in time - it is our aim and hope to experience the celebration of this new marriage with those we love, where ever they may be (beyond our Vancouver experience) ...Halifax, Los Angeles, Albenga and of course Adelaide - as the months ahead unfold.
